Hello
A Bit About Me
I am a first generation college graduate from Algonquin, Illinois. My higher education journey began at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Women & Gender Studies. From there, my desire to learn brought me to Texas A&M University, Where I served as a Residence Hall Director, while earning my Master of Science in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration.
In graduate school I had many opportunities to explore different functional areas within Student Affairs such as: Summer Camps and Conference Operations at Western Illinois University , Academic Advising through the Health and Kinesiology department at Texas A&M, and Student Organization Advising through Texas A&M Hillel.
After graduation, I accepted the Springboard Social Justice two- year Fellowship through Hillel International, serving on the University of Wisconsin's campus. Here, I was able to develop my passion for Civic Learning and Student Voter Engagement and in the Fall of 2020 I had the opportunity to develop and lead a 12-student Voter Engagement Internship.
Following my two-year fellowship, I was hired as the Director of Student Life at the University of Wisconsin Hillel in 2021. My main focus areas are: student engagement, civic learning, the overall internship program, and relationship building. This year has been a year of rebuilding programs, regaining student trust, and pivoting with the changes that the COVID-19 Pandemic has presented us.
Currently, my professional interests are: Voter Engagement, Civic Learning, First Generation College Student Success, Learning Communities, Co-Curricular Development and Training, First Year Experience, Recruitment and Admissions, Event Management, and Event Planning.
